“You Are Not Alone"
After Iranian Strike, Finance Minister Promises ‘Full Backing’ to Displaced Holon Families
An Israeli minister visits evacuees in Jerusalem to express national solidarity and outline government support plans following wartime missile strikes. The visit serves as both a morale boost and a strategic reassurance amid ongoing regional conflict.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich visited the Leonardo Hotel in Jerusalem on Monday, where families evacuated from Holon have been temporarily housed after their neighborhood suffered a direct hit from an Iranian missile during last week’s large-scale attack. The visit came as part of ongoing efforts by the government to provide immediate and long-term support to civilians impacted by the escalating conflict.
Accompanied by Holon Mayor Shay Keinan and representatives from the Property Tax Authority, Minister Smotrich met with evacuees to personally assess their living conditions and listen to their needs. He reviewed the financial aid and logistical assistance currently being provided by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with local authorities.
Smotrich also met with welfare workers and Home Front Command personnel stationed at the hotel, thanking them for their continued efforts in supporting the evacuees and maintaining a sense of stability during a time of crisis.
In a heartfelt message to the displaced families, Smotrich declared: “I came here to tell you, you are not alone. The State of Israel is embracing you and giving you full financial backing. We will do whatever it takes to bring you home quickly, to homes that are stronger and safer. Where Iran tried to destroy, we will rebuild, stronger, higher, with determination and courage.”
His remarks highlighted the government’s intention not only to compensate and rehabilitate those affected but also to use the rebuilding process as a form of national resilience and defiance in the face of enemy aggression.
Smotrich’s visit underscored the broader commitment of Israeli leadership to ensure that citizens displaced by war receive immediate care, emotional support, and a clear path to rebuilding their lives.
