A true enemy of Zion

Tucker Carlson: “Jews are behind push for war with Iran”

Mr. Carlson, who was Fox News's highest-rated host before his abrupt departure in April 2023, has since established a significant presence on social media platforms, particularly on X, where he has a following of over 15 million.

The internal tension within U.S. President Trump's camp is exploding - this time around Iran, Israel, and the ideological line that is stirring the American right.

The divisive broadcaster Tucker Carlson, one of the most influential and extreme voices in the populist right, published a direct, lengthy, and richly allusive antisemitic attack against one of the central voices in the pro-Israel neoconservative camp.

The background: a bitter debate over the American nuclear proposal to Iran - and the possibility that a military strike will be considered if the proposal is rejected. The official reason: a visit to the White House by one of the leaders of the pro-Israel movement, during which he called for military preparations against Iran, claiming it is 'just weeks away' from obtaining a bomb.

Carlson did not hold back - and posted a long and hostile column, in which he attacked that leader by name, hinted at his ethnicity, and accused him of being "unwilling to fight in any war himself but demanding that Americans fight for him." At the same time, he warned Trump: "A war with Iran would be the end of his presidency. It would be a betrayal of his supporters."

The text of Carlson transitions from intelligence demolition to blunt claims: he asserts that there is no evidence that Iran is close to a bomb, describing it as an "old lie" that has resurfaced since the 1990s. According to him, anyone claiming otherwise is "ignorant or dishonest." He suggests that the purpose of the bomb discussions is to distract public opinion from a real target: the overthrow of the Iranian regime. And who is responsible for this? "People like Mark Levin," he wrote – repeatedly using this phrasing, which provoked angry reactions.

Some factions within the American Jewish right have already labeled the post as "the most overtly anti-Semitic thing ever to come out of Tucker Carlson." Carlson further adds that "Iran does not have nuclear weapons, but it has ballistic missiles aimed at American bases. The first week of war could kill thousands of soldiers. The second week could lead to the collapse of the American economy."

He states that an attack on Iran would ignite a regional conflict that could escalate into World War, due to Iran's ties with Russia, China, and BRICS countries. "Iran is not Iraq. We will lose," he concludes. But beyond the security warning, there is a direct arrow aimed at the pro-Israel camp within the right. Carlson warns that Trump is being dragged into it against his will. "The only thing they do not want is a peaceful solution," he writes, explicitly referring to advisors and commentators.
