The Israeli Air Force conducted a targeted operation, destroying three Iranian Cobra combat helicopters at a military base in the Karamanshah area, according to the IDF Spokesperson. The strike, part of ongoing aerial operations, comes as Israeli aircraft continue to patrol Iranian skies, identifying and engaging targets amid escalating tensions following recent Israeli offensives.
The IDF reported that the destroyed helicopters were intended to counter Israeli air operations over Iran. This action follows a series of strikes targeting Iranian military assets, including nuclear facilities and leadership sites, since the launch of Operation Rising Lion on June 13, 2025, as the conflict intensifies in the region.
