For the first time since the launch of Operation Rising Lion, Israeli Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar has commented publicly on the IDF's ongoing campaign in Iran.

Maj. Gen. Bar oversaw real-time strikes from the Air Force command center as Israeli jets targeted Iran’s long-range missile infrastructure.

Today’s operation targeted long-range surface-to-surface missile storage sites , specifically Khorramshahr-class missiles, in Iran’s central Yazd region.

“In broad daylight, we struck the ‘Imam Hussein’ missile headquarters - the most distant strategic site we've hit to date,” said Bar.
“We destroyed Khorramshahr missiles before they could be launched toward Israel and hit tunnel complexes used to store them. We continue with waves of strikes across Iran, degrading their ability to launch attacks, reducing rocket salvos, and acting with determination to protect our home front.”

Earlier today, around 30 Israeli fighter jets struck dozens of other military targets throughout Iran using over 60 precision munitions, based on intelligence gathered by IDF Military Intelligence.

The Imam Hussein complex, struck for the first time, had previously launched approximately 60 long-range missiles toward Israel.

Meanwhile, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir spent the night at the IDF command center alongside senior leadership - including the heads of Intelligence, Operations, Planning, and the Air Force - overseeing both the Iran operation and ongoing hostage rescue efforts in Gaza.

Lt. Gen. Zamir emphasized the importance of strategic coordination with the U.S. military and reiterated that IDF operations will continue until the objectives of the campaign are fully achieved.
