For third time in a day, Jerusalem sirens sound as IDF intercepts missile from Yemen

IDF successfully intercepts a missile launched by Houthi forces.

For the third time in the last day, the Houthis launched a ballistic missile from Yemen to Israel this morning (Wednesday); it was successfully intercepted.

Around 07:40 in the morning, an IDF spokesperson updated that a missile launch was identified from Yemen towards Israeli territory, "Defense systems are working to intercept the threat. Please follow the instructions of the Home Front Command."

The Home Front Command warned that sirens were expected to be activated in the areas of Jerusalem, Dan, Yarkon, the Lowland, Sharon, the Judean Plain, Judea, Samaria, the Dead Sea, and the Valley.

In the end, at 07:44, sirens were activated in the city of Jerusalem and surrounding communities, including Modiin Illit, Beitar Illit, the Dead Sea area, the Judean Plain, and parts of the settlements in Samaria.

A few minutes later, an IDF spokesperson updated that "a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted."Last night, the Houthis launched two missiles, the first activated alarms in Jerusalem and the central area and was successfully intercepted, while the second exploded along the way and did not activate alerts in Israel."
